Here in Tannheimer Tal, everyone can become a summiteer. A wide network with over 300km of well-signposted hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty stretches across what is, in our opinion, the most beautiful high valley in Europe. Thanks to the many running cable cars, even couch potatoes can quickly gain altitude and encounter the high Alpine pastures and the Allgäu Alps at eye level without much effort. The mountain adventure is fast-paced on the cycle routes and bike trails, which take you to the most beautiful lakes in our region, such as Haldensee, Traualpsee, and Vilsalpsee. Love winter sports?
Winter in Tannheimer Tal is hard to put into words. But let us give it a try anyway. As one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing destinations in Europe, our high valley offers you perfectly groomed cross-country trails in the midst of untouched nature reserves. Six varied ski areas inspire with guaranteed snow and epic experiences. Deeply snow-covered peaks entice you to go snowshoeing and winter hiking. Frozen mountain lakes invite you to ice skate elegantly across them and cosy horse-drawn carriage rides provide plenty of romance. Yes, we certainly aren't promising you too much when we say that Tannheimer Tal is an absolute paradise for winter sports enthusiasts.
