There’s a lot to SEE with us.
Haldensee
If you like to cool off outdoors in summer, the popular Haldensee is always our first choice. With a unique view of the surrounding mountains and temperatures of up to 26°C, this lake provides pure relaxation, and you can revitalise your body and ease tense muscles. After an extensive swim, you can enjoy the wonderful view from the meadow, feel the sun on your skin, and take in the fresh mountain air. Or how about a leisurely walk along the picturesque promenade around the beautiful mountain lake?
Vilsalpsee
When temperatures in the valley go over 30 degrees, an excursion to Vilsalpsee is just the ticket. Situated at 1,165 metres above sea level, the lake doesn’t just impress with its deep blue colour but also with its unique location in an untouched nature reserve. The walk to Vilsalpsee takes about an hour and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hikes in Tannheimer Tal. And don’t worry, the 2.5-kilometre route is also easily manageable with a wheelchair or pram.
Traualpsee
In Tannheimer Tal, there are countless routes on which you can explore the mountain landscape and admire its awe-inspiring beauty. When the ascent starts getting a little steeper, you’re probably on your way to Traualpsee, a well-hidden gem of our region. Even daredevils only take a dip here on really hot days, as the water temperature never goes above 15°C. But the sight of the neighbouring peaks and the great variety of Alpine plants and animals make the visit more than worthwhile.
